During the ride in the ambulance the s-max with a maximum load of 160 kg (chair plus patient) can remain attached to the chair ALS 300 by the company Utila - approved by the motor and vehicle department of Rheinland according to DIN EN 1789:2007 (crash test). With all other chairs the stair climber must be stored in the vehicle apart from the chair in a separate compartment.

The various companies modifying vehicles into ambulances offer different solutions to store the chairs. The compartment must be designed so
that it is easily accessible from outside. That
way the s-max is quickly ready to use at all times
and the personnel does not have to get into the
ambulance again.

power supply
The device secured by a special fixture is provided with electricity during the trip. Of course it can also be charged outside of the ambulance with its included charger.
One battery charge suffices for approx. 300 steps. There is also the option of taking an extra battery pack along, which may also be charged during trips.
