FAQ's concerning the c-max U2

What is the difference between the c-max U1 and the c-max U2?

The c-max U1 can be disassembled thus it lends itself well to put into a car, while the c-max U2 was developed for professional use in ambulances or for driving services. The U2 cannot be disassembled, yet it can be stored tightly because the device can be folded. Holding devices to keep the c-max in place in the car are available as an accessory for almost all types of vehicle.

Why was the c-max U2 developed?

More and more professionals, young people included, complain about back problems. Slipped disks are frequently an evil medical technicians and paramedics have to put up with.
The c-max U2 facilitates carrying patients on a daily basis. The patient is buckled up safely with a safety belt system, and an oxygen tank can be attached to the back part of the c-max if needed. If the costs of a colleague missing work due to a slipped disk are considered, then the use of a stair climber is well worth it. In the UK several hundreds of devices are used by paramedics on a daily basis. Holding devices for ambulances and medical driving services are available as an accessory.
The c-max U2 was subjected to a vigorous 10 G test in accordance with the norm DIN EN 1789. The holding devices as well as the c-max passed all the required test and quality requirements.
